Scott currently races in the Formula 2 category, which is extremely competitive. Details of the machinery he used in this year's racing will appear here soon.
 
In F3 he used a GP racing motorcycle engine, a Honda RS250. This was modified for the hovercraft by removing the gearbox and so increasing the HP to over 100BHP. This engine proved to be an awesome combination with the top three in the world using them for F3. The competition was so fast in Berlin; they were all faster than the world champion in the F2 category and even faster than some of the formula 1's
Championships consist of a yearly British Championship held over 7/8 rounds all over the UK. Each round is held over a weekend and Bank holidays and consists of 4-6 races. All points count towards the overall championship.
 
There is also a yearly European championship, which consists of 6 rounds held over weekends at each of the following countries: - the UK, Germany, France and Sweden. Again all points count towards the overall championship.
The World Championship, which is held every two years, consists of 8 races in any country in the World. The 2000 World Championship was hosted by the UK (finished 3rd), the 2002 World Championship was hosted by the USA (finished 7th) and the 2004 World Championship was hosted by Germany (finished World Champion). The next World Championships will be held in France 2006. |
